Martelli: It's All About the Tools

This past Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting the folks from Martelli, the makers of innovative and ergonomic sewing and quilting tools. Joallyn and Lauren traveled here from Pensacola Florida to share tips and tricks of the trade. I met Joallyn at Market in Houston and just knew that my quilting friends in NC had to see these amazing products.

Getting Ready for the Demos

Several attendees already own some of their products, and came to the presentation because they love them and are looking to buy more Martelli tools. Avery, one of our Funky Monkey regulars, said "I love my Martelli rotating mat. It swivels so nicely!"

Ergonomic Rotary Cutter

These rotary blades are made from tungsten steel and will outlast others on the market. We watched as Joallyn cut through 32 layers of fabric like a hot knife through butter! The blade fits in a slot in their No Slip Strip Ruler, making it easy to cut straight lines. 

Half Inch Squares

The No Slip Strip Rulers make cutting half inch squares sew easy! If you missed this event, don't worry. There are currently 140 videos on their website explaining how to use their tools.
