Day 4 of Making - Rebecca's Applique Christmas Skirt
Other social media quilters inspired Rebecca to design this skirt, which is a basic wrap skirt with a large bow and hand-appliqued artwork on each panel. We are working with a pattern designer to make a printed pattern for the skirt itself, so stay tuned for that! Rebecca pre-washed and pre-quilted the yardage to make the skirt and then added the applique after the skirt itself was technically finished.

Day 5 of Making - Collage Quilts
Day 5 of making is a mini Laura Heine Monkey Collage! We know lots of quilters are intimidated by collage quilting, but consider this your remedial, kindergarten-level tutorial. You can do this! And once you start, you might find it hard to stop, because collage quilting is so beautiful. This cutie finishes at 8"x8", making it a versatile gift. We put the finished collage in a frame, but you could also use the finished square as a quilt block, put it on the side of a bag, on a jacket, on a sweatshirt, or whatever else you can think of!

Day 8 of Making - The Two-Hour Tulip Bag
Today is all about bags! This adorable tulip bag has the perfect name, not only because it truly comes together in 2 hours, but it also has these petal shaped panels that create the sides and cover flap, which give it the basket shape. This is one of Angie's favorite bag patterns! The pattern itself comes with measurements and templates to make 4 different sizes; the petite, the small, the large, and the jumbo.

An even simpler bag is the Everyday Bag from Karen Montgomery! This bag comes together even quicker than to tulip bag and is perfect for a day-to-day carry all. This tutorial feature a light color-way and a dark color-way. Angie also shows you how to make your preferred handle lengths for maximum comfort.

Day 9 of Making - Quilt As You Go Coaster
Day 9 features a tutorial for making some cute little Quilt-As-You-Go coasters! Depending on the size you make, and the batting you use, these can also be made as pot-holders, trivets, table place-mats, even a table runner, or really anything you can think to make with this technique. They look a bit more difficult to make than they actually are, which makes the a great gift idea! Angie prefers machine stitching to hand-stitching, but she still loves how hand-stitched projects look, so this technique is made to look hand stitched even thought it is all done on the machine!

Realistically, it can hold any set of role-playing-game dice, or a set of marbles, or really anything you'd like to stash in a cute organizer bag! Angie modified this bag as a 'dice bag' for her sons, who play DnD and needed a crafty way to store and carry their dice sets. Watch as she shares all the tricks you might need to succeed!

This tutorial will show you the ins and outs of setting rhinestones from Uniquely Crafts. Angie took a thrifted denim jacket and turned it in to a one-of-a-kind holiday jacket! These fabrics are super special because they behave surprisingly similarly to a standard cotton fabric. The glitter does not transfer to other surfaces, tools, or fabrics and the finished product is just to die for. So tag along for this final gift-worthy project!
