Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts...and how you can help!

Posted by Kristen Stover on

We don't need to spell it out...I'm sure you've seen the videos and photos...it's intense here, but we are resilient and we are moving forward.

Your prayers and good thoughts mean the world to us. But there are other things that we also need, and if you have the means and ability, here are some ways (with links) you can help:

  • To help the 5LM family stay afloat, a GoFundMe has been set up.
  • Download the app so you watch and make purchases
  • Purchase a gift card and wait 6 months before using it (more about this in this video)
  • WNC Rural organizing and resilience (ROAR)
    • PayPal: ruralorganizingandresilience@gmail.com
  • Appalachian Medical Solidarity/ Asheville Survival Program
    • Venmo: @AppMedSolid
    • Cashapp: $streetsidehelene
  • Pansy Collective
    • Venmo: @pansycollective
  • Beloved Asheville
    • PayPal: BeLovedAsheville
    • Venmo: @BeLoved-Asheville
  • Bittersweet Quilt Shop is running a Quilt & Linen Drive between October 7 and November 16, 2024. Bed-sized quilts and cotton sheets that are donated will be delivered to Asheville and surrounding areas to those that lost their bedding in the devastation. Tina's Facebook video explains it all. Download the donation form here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support!

  • I have a Bernina 1630 in great condition, recently serviced, that I was going to sell but if you have quilter who lost her machine in the Helene disaster I would be glad to donate it. I could bring it up next Tuesday the 19th (I live in Concord). I have a lot of feet and the user guide also. Also do you accept finished quilts, both new and gently used?

I look forward to hearing back from you.
