Illuminated Appliqué Jean Jacket Class!

Welcome to the Illuminated Appliqué Jean Jacket Class! This class will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 10 am to 3-4 pm and includes a 30-minute lunch. Depending on how complex you make your jacket, you might not get done but will learn all the steps in order to finish at home.

For this class, you will need the following items:

Sewing machine with a FreeMotion foot and way to drop/cover the feed-dogs on your machine.

One Jean jacket or alternatively a Jean Skirt or Jeans that have the leg seam opened 3/4 the way up the leg.

Optional Hot fix wand and hot fix crystals to match the project, and other embellishments such as ribbon, trim, and fabric for cuffs and collar.

Basic Sewing Notions-

Seam ripper, stiletto, extremely sharp detail cutting scissors such as the Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors ( these are VERY important to the success of this project)

Small detail Iron such as Clover or Steam fast mini iron. Thread and 2 filled bobbins in color to match your featured fabric and or background.

Free-motion sewing grip gloves or alternative system.

1 yard lightweight fusible webbing-we suggest Quilter's Select Appli- Web Plus

1 yard mid-weight stabilizer-we suggest Quilter's Select Tearaway

Class Kit - feature fabric, your choice of listed Alexander Henry, Cori Dantini, or Tula prints (listed below) $20

Contains enough fabric for one jacket. Fusible and stabilizer for the project are included in the basic class kit. The deluxe class kit additionally includes 1 spool thread to match your fabric, Hot Fix rhinestones, and coordinating embroidery floss for embellishment.
