1. Essential Preparation Class - Tuesday, April 18th from 5-7 pm.
2. Class Day - Saturday April 29th 2023 8:00 - 4:30 A fresh pot of coffee will be hot and ready to go. You’ll leave with a great dress to wear all Spring and Summer!
This is the PERFECT UNDERSTORY garment to wear with your favorite sweater. The dress gathers very nicely, with just a bit of collar peeking out at the top. The Wilder is a fun style dress that will have you humming the Little House on the Prairie theme song! Versatile styling and comfy as the summer days are long. Yippee! The Wilder Gown is breezy and fun, made from any lightweight fabric you choose. Anna Maria’s cotton lawn or Tilda’s chambray would be perfect. Angie will also have some yummy white cotton lawn in the shop for you to check out. This is a great beginner-friendly pattern that you’ll finish in a day! You will succeed if you have a working knowledge of basic sewing skills such as measurement, seams, pinning, ironing and laughing!
If you’ve taken a class from me in the past you know that we have tons of fun spending time finding the fabric that works with your body, your hair color and your skin tone. If you hate choosing fabric because you’re ‘just not sure’, this is your place! The collective wisdom of the class will help you with your selections.
The Prep Class: Do NOT Bring Your Sewing Machine. You WILL need your Wilder pattern, available at 5LM. In class we will discuss and help you finalize the following:
You WILL need your Pattern, a notebook, pencil and measuring tape
Pattern Options - Sleeve style
Fabric Selection for YOUR style.
Fabric Purchase Length - We’ll adjust if the fabric has one way directionality
Your Homework will be to prewash, straighten and iron your fabric before class on Saturday, April 29th, 2023
The Saturday Class: Arrive with your machine tuned and ready to go … but don’t set it up until after we cut our fabric.
Fabric layout, marking, cutting and ripping. Seriously, you can tear some of your fabric. It’s kinda fun!
